1. What this is
Ownumber is a game and collectors' marketplace. Every whole number from 1 upwards can be auctioned once and then traded between users. "Owning a number" means you are recorded in our system as the owner of that number. It creates no property right, copyright or any other right in the number itself.
2. Test phase with play money
Ownumber is currently a test version. All balances and prices are play money with no monetary value. Play money cannot be paid out, exchanged or transferred. We may reset game data during the test phase.
3. Account
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- One account per person.
- Keep your password, PIN and authenticator app secret. Actions confirmed with your PIN count as made by you.
- Usernames must not infringe third-party rights or be offensive.
4. Auctions and trading
- The starting bid for a number equals its value in euros. An auction lasts 24 hours; a bid shortly before the end extends it.
- Each bid must be at least 3% higher than the previous one. Bids are binding and the amount is reserved.
- On resales, Ownumber keeps a commission of 5% of the sale price. The proceeds of a first auction go to Ownumber.
- All sales are shown publicly with price, time and username.
5. Not an investment
Numbers on Ownumber are collectibles for fun. We do not promise any increase in value. Prices can go up and down.
6. Fair play
Multiple accounts, arranged fake bids, automated bidding and any attempt to manipulate the system are prohibited. In case of violations we may suspend accounts and reverse transactions.
7. Liability
We strive for uninterrupted operation but cannot guarantee it. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health; otherwise only for breach of essential obligations and limited to typical, foreseeable damage.
8. Changes and termination
You can have your account deleted at any time by email. We may change these terms with reasonable notice; separate terms will apply to real payments later.
9. Final provisions
German law applies. If any provision is invalid, the rest remains valid.
